Dear Friends at Hope Endeavors,

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not see it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland….” Isaiah 43:18-19.

One of our Aeta pastors came recently and reported the ff:

1.       There are 36 Aeta children of school age in the far away village of Belbel near Mt. Pinatubo who wish to come and study at the Christian school. He found these children when he went there to visit his relatives. There is no school in the village. It is very far from the town. It is not accessible to land transportation.  There are rivers to cross before reaching it.

2.       The chieftain of that village talked with this pastor and requested if these children can come to the ACH and study in the Christian school. He, like us, is concerned with the future of these children.

By faith and with compassion, we told our Aeta pastor to go back and bring the children and their parents here at the ACH. He will be walking 12 hours to reach the village. He said that he will be renting a cart and a carabao to bring the children at a place where we can fetch them with our vehicles. The said pastor sent us a text message the other day telling that he could not cross the river because the water current is strong. It’s rainy season here.

Please pray for God’s protection for our pastor and the Aeta children whom he will be bringing here at the ACH. Please pray also that our Lord will provide the needs of these children once they are in the ACH. Again, it is another step of faith. We trust in the Lord that He will protect these children and will provide their needs.

We now have 85 Aeta children in the ACH.  Some are newcomers. If the 36 will come then we will have 116 children to love and take good care! We also have new staff in the ACH and new teachers in the school. We have 12 staff in the ACH and 12 staff in the school. In addition to this, we also have 8 pastors being supported by the ministry or a total of 32 servants of the Lord. If the Lord will allow the children from Belbel to come, we are praying for more staff.

As the children arrive in the ACH, they undergo the following procedures:

1.       Log in the ACH with their parents or relatives. The relatives stay for several days to help in the work here such as cleaning, cooking, laundry, chopping firewood, gardening, etc. They will also sign documents entrusting their children to the ACH..

2.       Undergo medical check-up  in the clinic. Those who are sick will be given time to rest and recover.

3.       Orientation for the children esp. concerning personal hygiene and sanitation, as well as ACH policies and routines.

4.       Most of all, we pray for them, that God will protect and bless them as they stay in the ACH and study in the Christian school.

Please pray for us as we take good care of all these children that our Lord has entrusted to our care. May our Lord give us added and renewed strength, vision, and passion to help these children not just physically or academically, but most  of all spiritually. May these children come to know our Lord Jesus in a personal and intimate way and that, they will be God’s instruments someday to reach the lost and win them for Christ. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. We need them now more than ever. Your love and compassion toward these children serve as our inspiration.

Serving God together,

Wilson and Cora Ladringan

PS – OUR PRAYER CONCERNS:

1.       Repair of the preschool building. It is the only schoolbuilding remaining that needs a new roof and ceiling.

2.       Ricefield as source of food for the Aeta children. One hectare of ricefield costs 10 thousand US dollars.

3.       Medicines for the clinic. Many Aetas are sick and our medicines are running out.

4.       Sponsors for the new Aeta children in the ACH.

5.       Financial support for the new teachers and ACH staff including staff of the medical clinic.

6.       Healing of Shirley, Aeta pastor’s wife who has toxic goiter and tumor. She needs surgery.

7.       Healing of Daniel, an Aeta boy sick with tuberculosis and now in the confinement room of the Christian Medical Clinic. Please pray for TB medicines, vitamins, and foods not just for Daniel but for other Aetas sick with TB.

8.       Divine protection and provision for our daughter Praise as she pursues higher education and help in the Christian school, and  for our son Immanuel as he takes charge of the clinic and at the same time, prepare for his medical board exam in Feb. 2010.

9.       Establish preschools at the Aeta villages. Please pray for facilities and teachers.

10.   God’s mercy and grace for Cora and myself as we again manage the ministries which our Lord has entrusted to our care. Thank you. God bless.
