July, 2009 – PRAISE REPORTS WITH PRAYER REQUESTS
Dear Friends at Hope Endeavors,
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart…” Galatians 6:9.
The Children’s Home (ACH) – The Aeta children arrived in June from their summer vacation. We have 15 new faces, mostly sick and malnourished children. Praise God, they are now well and have fully recovered. The children from the village of Belbel have not arrived yet. We will wait until the rainy season has subsided. June to September are rainy season here and rivers are dangerous. This prevented the children from coming here at the ACH. The Dept of Social Welfare has brought an Aeta girl who is autistic in the ACH. She is an orphan. Her name is Sarah about 16 years old. Please pray for us as we take good care of her. Cora has some training in taking care of autistic children when she worked as a nurse in England. Please pray for some children and staff who got sick due to the changing weather condition here. Thank you.
The Christian School - was opened on June 1, 2009. We have 3 new teachers in the school. We conducted a field trip for our pupils on July 2. We brought the children at the Manila Zoo and Children’s Museum. The children enjoyed this activity very much. Praise God for the repair of the roof of the elementary school buildings. We changed the wooden roof into steel trusses. This has eliminated our problem with termites. The buildings are now safer for the children. We are presently repairing the roof of the preschool and the admin building. Please pray for good weather as major part of the work is welding metals. Thank you.
The Medical Clinic – praise God for the medicines donated for the clinic. We now have one Aeta patient in the isolation room. He is sick with tuberculosis. His name is Daniel Mangatoliran. He is about 21 years old. Like our former patient Romy Mendoza who is now well and released from the clinic, Daniel is now undergoing TB drug therapy. Our son Immanuel is monitoring his condition. The medical clinic continue to help the Aetas in their medical needs.
The School of the Great Commission – will resume its classes this month of August, God willing. We only have 10 students mostly Aetas. Our goal is to disciple and raise up committed Christian workers who will go and plant churches in remote Aeta villages.
Our Church – we just celebrated our 21st founding anniversary last Sunday, July 19. We joined hands in praising and thanking God for His faithfulness. It is a simple but solemn celebration. The message from the Lord was “Reaching up, Reaching out”. We were all challenged not to lose heart, but to go and share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in season and out of season. This is the greatest good that we can do for the people around us for the glory of God.
Our Outreaches and Pastors – Please pray for the following outreaches and their pastors:
- Itanglew Christian Church – being pastored by Bernido Tiglao and wife Juliet.
- Palayan Christian Church – being pastored by Dionisio Ignacio and wife Shirley.

Please pray for the following Church workers who are undergoing trials:
- Pastor Dionisio Ignacio’s wife Shirley who just underwent surgery for her goiter. Please pray for her full recovery.
- Pastor Bernido Tiglao’s wife Juliet who is now recovering from psychological and mental problems.
Please pray for Cora and myself as we oversee all these ministries which our Lord has entrusted to our care. As the apostle Paul has exhorted us in Phil. 4:13 – we can do all things through Christ Who gives us strength. Thank you and God bless.
Pressing on toward the mark,
Wilson and Cora Ladringan
