Dear Friends of Hope Endeavors and the Aeta Children's Home,

The love, peace, and joy of our Lord be always with you.

Its summertime here and we are experiencing drought. It rained one time but after that, intense heat up to 42 degree Celsius. Our fishpond dried up. Some of our pigs died due to intense heat. We used to have some chickens but they have died too because of the drought. Please pray for rains in this part of the Philippines. Thank you.

After our school graduation on March 30, most of the Aeta children went back to their villages for their summer vacation. Some of them remained here at the ACH because they have no relatives to go to. These are the orphans. Our elementary graduates and other slow learners remained here for their summer classes up the end of April.

School will open first week of June. The children will be back last week of May. We are quite busy preparing for the opening of classes. We are renovating, repainting, repairing some of our facilities here like the children’s dorm, classrooms, the toilets, water system, the kitchen, dining hall, gym and even the swimming pool for the kids. We have found out that the filter of the pool is not working. Please pray that the Lord will provide a new filter. Thank you.

The Dept of Social Welfare has brought to the ACH 2 new Aeta kids. They are brothers, one is about 7 year old and the other is 5 year old. They were found rooming in the streets in the city. We accepted them. We gave them new names, Matthew and Lukas. As we interviewed them, we found out that the father is mentally deranged and has killed the mother. The children were so afraid that they ran away. They are still in trauma. Please pray for them and also for us as we share the love of Christ to these sick and needy children. Thank you.

The Lord has expanded the preschool. We are opening a new preschool at one of our outreaches in the next town. This is a non-Aeta preschool. There are many indigent non-Aeta children. Like the Aetas, they also need help. The Lord has touched our hearts to help them in the field of preschool education. It is a free school, that is, we will not charge any fee. We are praying to open and start this June. We will also do feeding. We will operate by faith in God’s mercy and provisions. Please pray for the needs of these non-Aeta children. Thank you.

Our Bible school (School of the Great Commission) has now 14 students remaining. We are  in our third trimester. One more trimester and we will have our graduation. The subjects we are now teaching are Inductive Bible Study, Apologetics, and Eschatology. This is also a ministry of faith. It is free for our students, no fee whatsoever.

We have 2 new Aeta Bible outreaches at the Aeta villages of Olpoy and Banaba. They are pioneered by our  new Aeta pastors, Henry and Harvey. We are now overseeing  our main Church plus 11 daughter churches. Please pray for the needs of these new tribal outreaches. They are praying for their bamboo chapel, pastor’s house, a water system, and a toilet. Pls help us pray for these needs. Thank you.

Praise God that Immanuel our son is now a licensed physician. He is  waiting and praying for his appointment as the Municipal Health Officer of our town. He is doing volunteer work in the health center helping the poor and the indigent patients. He comes here at Balaybay in the afternoon to open our medical clinic. He also leads our regular medical missions at the Aeta villages. Please pray for him. Thank you.

From the bottom of our hearts, we wish to thank you once again for your faithful partnership in the Lord’s work here. Your prayers and support have made the difference and for that, we are truly grateful to the Lord. God bless and reward you richly for all your labors of love for the saints. Heb. 6:10, II Cor. 9:10-15.

Giving God all the honor and glory,

PS - The Hope Endeavors Mission Team led by sister Darcy is here doing a great job for the Lord. Through the medical missions, feeding, and relief distribution, many poor Aetas have received help. Most of all, the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ was preached to them. Praise the Lord. God bless.

Attached are some pictures. First picture are the 2 Aeta brothers Matthew and Lucas. The rest are school graduation pictures. Thank you.
